Being brand new to RDS on Windows 2012, I have had to setup a new server with RDS and 30 licenses, so that users can connect to an app using an RDP "shortcut" on their desktop.
My problem is that the users only connect to ONE app on the server, but that one app needs to start Word with a selected document, and even though all users have a full licensed copy of MS Office 2010 H&B, it tries to use Word on the server.
My question is: Since everyone has Word on their PC's, can the RDP file be configured so that the published app will start Word on the client computer instead of the terminal server?
It seems a little much if I have to go out and purchase a 30 user multi license for MS Office when I already have a license for every computer.
